The museum is part of the Universitary Cultural Center.

Its 14 exhibition rooms display various works ranging from the mid-20th century to the present.

It includes oils, serigraphs, photographs, collages, and videos representing different contemporary art movements.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is perhaps the stalactites made with caps from various jars.

MUAC offers workshops and features a store, bookstore, restaurant, and guided tours.
