The museum has a modern design and four permanent rooms where various historical and cultural objects are exhibited.

One of its rooms displays items belonging to the tribes that inhabited the region, as well as objects from Mesoamerican cultures.

It has a library, bookstore, auditorium with a capacity for 200 people, cafeteria, and educational services offering workshops, guided tours, and conferences.
