Built in 1870 as a fabric bleaching factory, it has been declared a National Historic Heritage site as it is the oldest industrial facility in the state.

The museum exhibits machinery, pieces, photographs, documents, and lithographs in its eight galleries.

It also has a temporary exhibition gallery to showcase various expressions of visual artists and a multipurpose room for workshops and conferences.
