Museum of Chocolate (MUCHO)
This museum is a place that educates, inspires, and promotes diverse cultural expressions related to cocoa and chocolate.
The museum is housed in a two-story house dating back to the early 20th century, which has been carefully restored.
Here, you can stimulate all your senses as you can listen, look, touch, smell, and above all, taste chocolate in various forms.
Concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and all kinds of cultural activities take place in this place.
At MUCHO, you can find both artisanal products and others made by artists, each with a wide variety of cocoa and coatings.
The exhibition consists of a wide variety of pieces related to cocoa and chocolate from the 17th to the 20th centuries, coming from all over the world, including Asia, Europe, America, and of course, Mexico.
Each room is dedicated to different aspects of cocoa. By touring it, you can learn more about cocoa cultivation and the countries where it is produced. Additionally, you will learn the history of chocolate production through various pieces, including cocoa fruits, original engravings from the 17th to the 19th centuries, advertising posters, models, cups, teapots, and a collection of metal chocolate containers, among many others.
We recommend visiting the section where you can delight in the smells of the different plants used in chocolates.
Of course, to satisfy your craving for tasting chocolate, you can visit the shop and chocolaterie that offers chocolate for drinking, admiring in small sculptures, and other delicious chocolates with a wide variety of flavors.
