Museo Toma de Zacatecas

It is located in an old house from the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

The building was originally called the Casa Fuerte del Patrocinio and was initially constructed to house an asylum.

Its objective is to commemorate the "Battle of Zacatecas" in June 1914 during the Revolution and present a graphical overview of what happened in the city during that time.

This museum was inaugurated in 1984 on the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Zacatecas.

It has 8 rooms displaying newspaper photographs from the era, documents, photographs of revolutionaries, clothing, and weapons used during the battle. It also includes a long-range cannon, a recreation of a company store, and mining-related artifacts.

The venue was remodeled using innovative and interactive museography, making the museum more fun and interesting. Visitors can take pictures with some of the prominent figures from the aforementioned battle using holograms in staged scenes. They can also discover the number of weapons and soldiers used by both armies on the day of the battle.

Large screens project films depicting scenes from the armed movement and life during the Revolution.

Outside the museum, there is an impressive mural by Ismael Guardado called "Cambio de vía" (Change of Track), which includes elements related to the Battle of Zacatecas.
