Museo de la Mujer (Women’s Museum)
The building belonged to the former University Press.
The first issues of magazines such as "Universidad de México" and "La Baceta" were printed in this building, as well as educational materials and various titles.
The exhibition focuses on gender perspectives from pre-Hispanic times to the present day in order to make the historical role of women more visible.
The museum consists of eight rooms: Equity, a universal principle of harmony; Dual worldview of ancient Mexico; Novohispanic marianismo and women in the home; Insurgent women; Freedom and education; From teachers to revolutionaries; Women's citizenship; and the last room, which addresses the feminist revolution to the present time.
It has a documentation center, a bookstore, and spaces for temporary exhibitions.
