It is located in an 18th-century house named after a prominent anthropologist.

The sculptures are divided into three themes: "The landscape and natural resources of the pre-Hispanic era" with sculptures of animals such as grasshoppers, jaguars, and tigers, among others. "Physical types and idealized beauty patterns, human forms" with masks, eye patches, and necklaces. "Religion with representations of gods" including a Chac-Mool and Tláloc.
There are four other rooms displaying objects and furniture from the period when the house was inhabited.
