The museum is housed in a 19th-century building that has been declared a historical monument.

It is located in the central square of Tlalpan, a pleasant place with cafes, restaurants, a nice garden, and a kiosk.

Its exhibition is related to the history of Tlalpan and features a collection of important visual artists.

In one of its courtyards, you can appreciate a telephone device similar to the one used in 1878 within these same walls when Tlalpan became the first town in the country to have telephone service.
