The Fortifications, Trade, and Navigation Museum is located in a reconstructed building on the ancient foundations of the Customs House and the Government Palace.

These buildings date back to the 18th and 19th centuries and now house the Campeche Library.

It has four rooms of permanent exhibitions that tell the history of Campeche: Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Fortifications Room, Trade Room, and Navigation Room.

This is a modern museum that features projections, models, and interactive displays.

We recommend stepping out onto the balcony on the first floor, as it is an excellent spot for a selfie with panoramic views of the city center.
