Museo de Arte Sacro (Museum of Sacred Art)

The museum is housed in the annex of the Basilica Cathedral of Our Most Holy Mother of Light.

Throughout its 15 rooms, paintings and sculptures with religious themes from various artists belonging to the period from the 17th century to the early 20th century are exhibited. There are works by the most prominent artists from the colonial era, including Miguel Cabrera and Juan Correa.

There are also standards, books, and tapestries in priestly attire. Among the most notable items is the attire worn by Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to León.

Most of the pieces in the exhibition belong to the Diocese of León.
