The museum houses an excellent collection of modern art in various forms: painting, sculpture, lithography, and photography.

Here, you can see works by Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, Siqueiros, Frida Kahlo, Remedio Varo, Leonora Carrington, Manuel Felguerez, and others.

The permanent collection rooms exhibit works belonging to the Mexican School of Painting.

The museum also has rooms for temporary exhibitions and beautiful gardens surrounding the museum with spectacular sculptures.
