The museum exhibits the work of the Durango painter Guillermo Ceniceros, considered by critics as the last great Mexican muralist.

It has seven rooms, four of them located on the upper part of the building exclusively showcase Ceniceros' work. They are named: Landscape Room, Games and Forms Room, Muses Room, and Graphic Room. The other three rooms are used for temporary exhibitions.

Additionally, it has a video library where a permanent video about the life and commentary on Guillermo Ceniceros' works is displayed.
