This museum has a permanent collection of important Mexican artists.

These artists include Rivera, Siqueiros, and Orozco. Additionally, there are works by two significant abstract art exponents: Wolfgang Paalen and Gunther Gerzso.

Currently, the museum's collection comprises over 1,700 pieces.

There are also temporary exhibitions, and the museum has a specialized bookstore.
