Arocena Museum

The variety and richness of its collection make it one of the most important in the country.

A modern museum facility with several rooms dedicated to permanent exhibitions, as well as a large space for temporary exhibits.

The exhibition is divided into: European Art, Viceregal Art, Mexico through Time, and Chronicles of the Laguna.

The Novohispanic painting collection focuses on the evolution of art in Mexico and Europe, featuring 300 works from the 14th to the 19th centuries by artists such as Miguel Cabrera, Murillo, and Zurbarán, to name a few.

The museum also has a specialized library on art and history, a cafeteria, a store selling books, magazines, and other items, and an auditorium with a capacity of over 120 spectators.
