Biblioteca “Fray Francisco de Burgoa”
The Library is located at the entrance of the Santo Domingo Cultural Center.
Specifically, it occupies the space of the former chapel of the Third Order, one of the largest rooms in the Former Convent of Santo Domingo.
The library houses over 23,000 volumes dating from 1484 to 1940, most of which belonged to the different orders established in the Oaxaca Valley.
Regular exhibitions and cultural activities of various kinds are presented.
It also offers guided tours, book consultations, restoration of bibliographic materials, and research assistance.
