Biblioteca de las Revoluciones
The building has a beautiful neoclassical style with some French influences.
It is located in a house known as the "House of the Two Patios," built in the late 19th century, and it is the headquarters of the National Institute of Historical Studies of the Revolutions of Mexico.
This building is also known as the House of Chucho el Roto, a famous 19th-century thief who, according to legend, stole from the rich to help the poor. It is said that in the basement of this house, there is a tunnel that connected to Plaza de San Jacinto and other houses in the area. That's why it was the hideout of Jesús Arriaga or Cucho el Roto.
It houses 84,000 pieces including books, brochures, newspapers, and magazines, as well as a reading room and exhibition space.
Guided tours are available for the library and for the exhibitions that are currently on display.
