Centro Cultural Ciudadela del Arte (Cultural Center)
Located in the former Zacatecas Assay House.
The house was built in 1806 by architect José María Vázquez to be the Mint House, a function it served until 1912. The building has been used for various purposes, including housing, a school, a hospital, stables, and a student residence.
The center includes several spaces, such as the Manuel M. Ponce Museum and the Zacatecano Museum. The Zacatecas Cinematheque houses multiple theaters continuously showing interesting film exhibitions. The Pedro Valtierra Zacatecas Photographic Archive features excellent permanent and temporary photography exhibitions. The Antonio Aguilar room displays a collection of the Mexican Charro's origin from Villanueva, Zacatecas. There are rooms for workshops, temporary exhibitions, and a cafeteria.
