Museo Regional de Compostela

Located in an 18th-century house.

The Regional Museum exhibits a rich archaeological collection with 685 pieces from the important Tumbas de Tiro (Shaft Graves) of the Classic period and the Aztatlán tradition of the Postclassic period.

Visitors can admire anthropomorphic and zoomorphic clay sculptures, as well as a variety of shell objects, obsidian artifacts, metalworking pieces, and rattles, among others.

There is another room displaying coins and banknotes from the Revolutionary period, as well as weapons from the 19th and 20th centuries, in addition to photographs, drawings, and old maps.
