This spectacular zoo occupies an extensive plain of approximately 30 hectares, located on one of the shores of Lake Valsequillo. Currently, it is one of the largest zoos in Mexico and one of the few where animals are relatively free, meaning visitors can observe them as if they were in their natural habitat.

Africam Safari is home to over 3,000 animals from approximately 250 species, both from Africa, the Americas, and Asia. You can find mandrills, camels, zebras, llamas, buffalos, bears, hippos, rhinos, giraffes, reindeer, tigers, pumas, lions, lizards, ostriches, pelicans, peacocks, and many more. To admire them, it is necessary to take a car tour, and if you don't have a car, the zoo offers guided bus tours.

The African section is the largest, consisting of three areas called Botswana, Uganda, and Kenya. At the end of the Kenya section, you'll find the dock called Mombasa.

There is also an area with caged animals known as the children's zoo. Among other attractions, you can enjoy rides on llamas or pony horses, boat rides with outboard motors on the reservoir, and there are playgrounds for children and animal shows on weekends.
