Xpu-Há is a strip of beautiful white beach combined with a series of small coves.
Hence its name, which in Mayan means “two-water estuary.”
The tranquil, clear waters and excellent visibility makes Xpu- Ha a wonderful spot for paddle boarding, snorkeling, diving and kayaking.
Along the bay you will find small cabins, hotels, restaurants and dive shops.
To the north there is a rocky area where the cove is located that connects with an impressive cenote called Manatí, surrounded by mangroves. From the beach, boat rides are offered through the mangrove, the cenote and the aviary.
In this cove you can see a wide variety of birds, turtles, rays, hedgehogs, starfish, crabs and colorful tropical fish.
From May to September, turtles of various species such as loggerhead, hawksbill, white, and leatherback come to lay their eggs and the beach becomes a sanctuary for these animals.
There are some archaeological remains in Xpu-Ha.
To the south of Xpu-Ha is Kantenáh, a beautiful beach with palm trees ideal for relaxing and lying in a hammock under a palapa.
