Templo de San Juan de Dios

Its construction began in 1726 and was carried out by the Hospital Brothers of San Juan de Dios.

The temple features a magnificent facade with an arch entrance and simple columns.

The interior is in Neoclassical style with a Latin cross. The lateral chapels preserve the original grilles.

The main altar and tabernacle stand out, made of white marble in Neoclassical style with beautiful golden ornamentation.

In front of the temple is the Mercado Libertad, popularly known as Mercado San Juan de Dios, one of the largest markets in the city where you can find all kinds of fresh products and crafts, as well as taste some of the typical dishes of Jalisco.
