Seventeen miles of virgin sands are bathed by the warm waters of the Gulf, right at the southernmost point of the Laguna Madre, a huge lagoon that constitutes one of North America´s major ecological reserves.

There is an exclusive neighborhood with beautiful riverside villas contrasting with the original fishing villa, hotels, palm-frond umbrellas, boat rental, fishing tackle store and restaurants that offer delicious seafood.

One of the great events that take place on this beach year after year is the Semana Mayor Festival with artistic shows, contests and sports tournaments.
