CIUDAD VICTORIA
Presa Vicente Guerrero (Dam)
It is one of the best places for black bass fishing. Located an hour and a half from Ciudad Victoria.
Emilio Portes Gil Dam
This dam is also known as "Xicoténcatl" or "Xico" and is located about an hour and a half from Ciudad Victoria. It has boat rentals and offers comfortable lodging. It is a good option for bass fishing.
República Española Dam
This dam with an abundance of aquatic vegetation is an excellent option for large bass fishing. Located in the municipality of Aldama, two hours from Ciudad Victoria.
El Chorrito Dam
This is a beautiful dam located in the municipality of Hidalgo, 87 km north of Ciudad Victoria. It is an excellent option for bass fishing.
Punta Media Luna
It is the widest part of the Laguna Madre, located approximately 200 km from Ciudad Victoria, ideal for for shrimp and crab fishing. Likewise, the Barrancón, also known as Mezquite, which occupies the deepest area of Laguna Madre, is a good place for fishing.
Soto La Marina
It is considered a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. You can fish on the beach, in the mouth of the Soto la Marina River, the Morales Lagoon, the Soto la Marina River and the estuary. In all these options you can catch corvina, snapper, speckled trout and horse mackerel, among many others. Located just over an hour from Ciudad Victoria.

Marte R. Gomez Dam
In this dam you can catch ferret, mojarra and catfish. Located two and a half hours from Nuevo Laredo.
Falcon Dam
It is a beautiful body of water where you can catch largemouth bass. Located an hour and a half from Nuevo Laredo.
BEACHES IN TAMAULIPAS
Bagdad Beach, Carbonera Beach, Tepehuajes in Soto La Marina, Barra del Tordo, La Pesca, Barra de Ostiones and the mouth of the Pánuco are exceptional places for fishing.
The most common species are: tarpon, horse mackerel, curvina, wahoo, skipjack, snook, permit, snapper, trout, red snapper, barracuda, tarpon, sailfish, ray, shark, bonito, grouper, and swordfish.
TAMPICO
Champayán Lagoon
Located in Altamira is an ideal place for bass fishing. There are boat rentals and all the services.
Lavaderos Dam
This is a small dam that has no services but is a nice place for bass fishing. Located on the highway that goes from Tampico to Soto la Marina, two and a half hours from Tampico.
Barra del Tordo
This place offers good services and you can catch red snapper, corvina, trout, horse mackerel, tarpon and snook, among others. Located in the direction of Aldama, one hour and 45 minutes from Tampico.
