This beautiful Veracruz paradise features incredibly clear water with colors ranging from turquoise to emerald, surrounded by dense forests.
It is the habitat of a wide variety of birds, such as the Catarina parakeet, green magpie, plain chachalaca, golden-bellied grosbeak, and common sparrow, among many others.
There is a magnificent trail that runs along the river with gentle slopes, leading to a pleasant 20-meter waterfall, other smaller waterfalls, and the crocodile pool. These trails are also used for downhill biking.
Upon reaching the end of the trail, you'll feel like you're in the middle of a canyon. There, you'll find stairs that will take you to the Zoatzingo area.
The best season to visit is during the winter months when the water is less cold and there are fewer people.
There are some comfortable cabins where you can stay to enjoy all these natural beauties.
