Museo Regional de la Cerámica de Tlaquepaque
The Regional Museum of Ceramics is located in a 17th-century estate.
The building is a classic example of a neoclassical mansion with beautiful patios adorned with ash trees, which has been designated a historic monument.
The museum exhibits a selection of beautiful ceramics from Tlaquepaque dating from the 18th to the 19th centuries in its nine rooms. The collection was donated by artisans from the region, and you can appreciate various techniques such as burnished clay, high temperature, and petatillo, among many others.
Some of the most prominent authors include Ponciano and Rosa de Panduro, grandchildren of the famous 19th-century potter.
