University of the Cloister of Sor Juana Site Museum
Located in what used to be the San Jerónimo Convent.
This convent is the place where the famous poet Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz lived for 27 years.
Within the premises, in a space known as the Contemporary Cell, some objects from the 17th century are displayed, providing insight into convent life during the colonial period.
There is also an area showcasing works by contemporary artists.
Since 1982, it has been home to the university, which has taken charge of the restoration of the beautiful building. The facilities host courses, workshops, plays, concerts, and other cultural activities.
