It's a place to admire nature, swim, snorkel, or bodysurf in the warm blue waters.

There's a rocky spit that separates Las Islitas from the main body of Matanchen Bay, creating several islets: San Francisco, San Jose, Tres Mogotes, Guadalupe, and San Juan. Due to these hidden coves, it was one of the favorite places for buccaneers and pirates.

There are rustic restaurants serving a variety of fresh seafood, including oysters, mussels, and shrimp.
