Los Cabos is one of the best places for kayaking.
You can paddle in one of the many semi-deserted beaches or in a beautiful cove. There are tours to Cabo Pulmo where you can combine kayaking with snorkeling and in the winter months, with luck you can have a close encounter with one of these magnificent cetaceans, especially in the early hours of the day. In addition, you may also be surprised by a large manta ray jumping near you.
Because most of the East Cape is tucked away and protected from the swells of the Pacific Ocean, the shorelines tend to be relatively calm and perfect for kayaking.
Of course, an excellent option are the rock formations that characterize Los Cabos, such as the famous Arch, since thanks to its calm currents it is a good place for kayaking, even to enjoy the sunset. Playa del Amor behind the Arch is a fascinating place to paddle.
Bahía and Playa El Chileno, as well as Playa Médano, located in the tourist corridor between San José and Cabo San Lucas, offer calm waters where you can also practice kayaking.
One of the best places is the San José del Cabo Estuary, a true oasis and a paradise with rich biodiversity where more than 150 species of birds.
You can rent a transparent kayak and enjoy the crystal clear waters and the abundant marine life of the Sea of Cortez.
