An 18-hole course designed by Robert Von Hagge.
Marina Ixtapa has been rated as one of Mexico's top courses by Golf Digest. Known for meandering canals and rolling dunes-style topography, it features more than a mile of canals that provide fun, recreation and transportation routes along the Marina.
Maybe the hole number one is your best chance for a birdie. Hole four, requires a precision tee-off shot; water in one side and obstructions in the other.
The hole nine, is difficult; water and sand traps along the way; to reach green you will have to shoot across a wide lake. The hole twelve is one of the longest; the green is uphill and surrounded by water and sand traps. The hole sixteen is another difficult hole; water in one side from beginning to end. The hole seventeen is also difficult; green is completely surrounded by water, traps and obstacles. The hole eighteen is maybe the hardest; it is locally known as "The Devil's hole"; water, traps, obstacles and a narrow green full of problems; it is a challenge just to get a par on this one.
