It has been declared a protected natural area and it is a hill that, due to its height of 2970 meters above sea level, ranks third in the state. 

It is located in a beautiful place where oak trees abound. The average temperature of the place is 25°C and the climate is temperate - humid. Ideal to visit all year round.

The Cerro Viejo trail is a pleasant option for all those who like natural landscapes and do not require a great effort. However, it is always recommended to be accompanied by a guide. The distance is 6 km up and 5 km down.
