It consists of a set of waterfalls and natural pools formed in the Santo Domingo River.

The facilities are located on the banks of the mighty river, within the Lacandon Jungle, where the region's rugged topography causes the river to form a waterfall that creates a dense cloud-like mist, hence its name, "Las Nubes" (The Clouds). 

Facilities include a restaurant, cabins, camping areas, and bathrooms.
