Almost in the heart of Cuernavaca, going down 200 meters along walkways at the bottom of a ravine, is this waterfall that falls down a semicircular vertical wall 40 meters high, surrounded by basaltic prisms and exuberant vegetation.
The walkway allows you to pass under the waterfall and on sunny days you can see rainbows in the spray that comes off.
In the surroundings you can visit red clay shops and nurseries, as well as a restaurant that offers typical dishes.
This place has a legend that tells that it was formed when a maiden died crying when her fiancée did not return from the battle and her hair continued to grow. The gods turned it into a waterfall and the warrior into a river.
