Río Zimatán
A few kilometers from Bahías de Huatulco is the Zimatán River, an excellent place to practice this exciting sport.
The river is flanked by white granite rock and in "El Chorro" you can rappel, jump from 8-meter (26 feet), swim and hike.
It is located one hour from Huatulco and has an intermediate difficulty.
Río Tonameca
The adventure includes walks in the middle of the mangrove swamp and you can enjoy jumping into the water from stones, natural hydromassages and of course the views of the Tonameca river.
This tour is particularly suitable for canyoning beginners.
It is located 1 hour and 20 minutes from Huatulco and 40 minutes from Mazunte.
Copalita River
Another option is to explore the canyon that flows into the Copalitilla River. From here you jump into the water to let yourself be carried away by the strong flow. Of course, this adventure includes descents of up to 20-meter (65 feet), jumps and walks.

The places of the Selva de los Chimalapas are an excellent place to camp. From Santa María Chimalapa you can organize walks in the wooded landscapes. It is located almost 5 hours from Huatulco.
