GUADALAJARA AND ZAPOPAN
Zapotlanejo
In Zapotlanejo you can camp near the Calderón Dam, which is located half an hour from Guadalajara.
This is also a good place for fishing. You can visit the Calderón Bridge, an historical place for the events happened during the War of Independence.
Tala
It is located only 35 km from Guadalajara and here is the Los Chorros de Tala Spa with green landscapes.

It is important that you follow the park regulations and is good to know that pets and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
Sierra de Quila
It is located a few kilometers north of Tecolotlán and is a beautiful region that is perfect for nature lovers. There is a beautiful 30-meter (100 feet) high waterfall with a viewpoint and amazing passages for camping. It is located two and a half hours southwest of Zapopan.

Sierra Lago
Just 30 minutes from this Magical Town is a development called Sierra Lago built around the Juanacatlán Lagoon in the middle of a beautiful forest environment.

It offers a camping area and rent camping tents. It is located 15 minutes from Tapalpa.
Presa Ferretería de Tula
Here, in addition to camping, you can also enjoy kayaking. It is located half an hour from Tapalpa.
Las Piedrotas
Tapalpa is located in the south of Jalisco where there are some very peculiar rocks and it is one of the most pleasant places for camping. It is located just 10 minutes from Tapalpa.
Los Frailes Natural Park
It has some tents in the clearings of the forest and you can also enjoy some other amenities such as suspension bridges and an impressive zip line.

San Juanito de Escobedo
It is located an hour and a half from Guadalajara and 45 minutes east of Tequila. The main attraction is Laguna Colorada and you can also visit some archaeological remains.
