It is an exuberant jungle area located within the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve.
Here is the famous bat sanctuary that is known as "Volcano", since it was formed by a landslide and has a depth of 40 m. The cave has an entrance that is 120 m wide and the most impressive thing is that around 5 or 6 in the afternoon, you can see three or four million bats come out, as if they were floating lava.
This phenomenon can only be compared to another similar place in Malaysia. The bats form a spiral in the air until they form a compact group that heads south. There is a huge buzz that is caused by the flapping, which complements a unique experience.
In addition, it houses an important group of Mayan vestiges known with the same name.
