It has an area of 144,868 hectares and extends along the Pacific coast. It is a beautiful combination of estuaries and mangroves that reach a height of up to 35 m.
It houses various species of endemic flora and fauna, such as the caiman, jaguar and spider monkey. It is an ideal place for bird watching, since more than 90 different species live here, such as pelicans, blue herons, white ibis, peregrine falcons, and ospreys, among many others. Additionally, it is part of the migratory path of waterfowl from Canada and the United States.
You can take pleasant boat rides between the estuaries to be able to capture some of these beauties of the Chiapas coast on your camera.

Location
It can be reached from Tapachula by taking Federal Highway 200 until you reach Embarcadero Las Garzas. 98 km, approximately one hour 40 minutes from Tapachula.
