Es la única zona de arrecife de coral duro en el Golfo de California. El área protegida consta de 7,111 ha y frente a su costa se ubica el arrecife de coral más grande del Golfo de California que posee una diversidad de fauna marina sorprendente.

The park's reef is about 20,000 years old, with more than 800 different species of fish, five of the seven endangered species of sea turtles, one of the largest collections of sharks, including bull sharks, tiger sharks, whitetip sharks, hammerhead, blacktip and white sharks. This is why it is known as the "Aquarium of the World".

For all this richness in marine biodiversity, it is one of the best places in the world to practice snorkeling and diving.

This is one of the most important areas in all of Baja California Sur for the reproduction of sea turtles, especially for the Hawksbill, Olive Ridley and the Leatherback.

In addition to turtles, it is a place where whale sharks, dolphins, stingrays and humpback whales arrive during the winter.

Another activities to enjoy is camping, there are several secluded beaches ideal to appreciate the magnificent sunsets. Another thing to do is to take your kayak or paddle to look for humback whales or to see a mobula ray jumping out of the water.

Hiking around Cabo Pulmo is other way to enjoy this beautiful landscapes. You can walk to the tower on top of the hill that sits just outside of town. There’s a rough road that winds up the mountain and it only takes about 30 minutes to reach the top where you will have a magnificent view of the national park.

This area has some bungalows, hotels and restaurants, as well as all the service providers that will allow you to have the best experiences in this little paradise.

It is important to mention that it is one of the destinations most dedicated to environmental conservation, so 100% are operated by solar energy. Additionally, there are no telephone and electricity lines making it one of the best places to enjoy the night sky.
