Culiacán Regional Museum
It is the oldest museum in the city.
It is characterized by the Byzantine mosaic murals that surround the building, a work by artist Rolando Arjona.
From the entrance, you can enjoy the interesting museum exhibition, as in the access courtyard, you can admire some petroglyphs that belong to the region's early inhabitants.
It has six rooms of permanent exhibition dedicated to pre-Hispanic cultures from all over the country and important historical events such as Independence, the Reform, and the Revolution.
Throughout these rooms, you can admire a valuable collection of archaeological pieces, armors, shields, weapons, historical documents, maps, photographs, uniforms, and even a cart that was used by Francisco I. Madero on his journey through Sinaloa.
One of the pieces that arouses the most interest is the Balubirito meteorite from Sinaloa, which was found in 1871 and weighs 50 tons, making it the second heaviest in the world. It is located at the museum's exit.
It is located within the Civic Constitution Center and narrates the history of the state.
