Museo de la Estampa
This Printmaking Museum is housed in a mid-19th-century house.
It is dedicated to exhibitions of printmaking art and has become one of the most prestigious in the country.
Its collection includes woodcuts, engravings, serigraphs, offset prints, and lithographs, displayed chronologically. It consists of over a thousand prints by artists from the State of Mexico, national and international artists, including an important collection of works created at the San Carlos Academy and some works by José Guadalupe Posada.
There are also works by artists such as Raúl Anguiano, Alfredo Zalce, Rufino Tamayo, José Luis Cuevas, Luis Nishizawa, Juan Olgúin, and Vicente Rojo, among others.
Among its seven rooms, visitors can also admire religious engravings from the 16th to the 19th century, as well as some instruments used in the art of printmaking.
