They span a length of one kilometer and contain more than 10 minerals. The cavities formed by calcium carbonate deposits of organic origin have accumulated over millions of years.
You can visit 15 halls, all of them fascinating, which are named according to their formations such as: El Chapulín (The Grasshopper), Los Tambores (The Drums), La Campana (The Bell) and El Vampiro (The Vampire), to name a few.
At the beginning of the tour, you enter through the Oriental Hall, which is a spacious room where the guide will tell you about the origin and history of these impressive caves.
It is characterized by its enormous wealth of aragonite crystals, which have the peculiarity of growing in geometric shapes such as triangles, squares, and rectangles.
In the caves you can also see beautiful traventine marble, fluorite, onyx, dragonite and selenite, in addition to the characteristic stalactites, stalagmites and some marine fossils.
