There is a bike path with two routes for cyclists, runners, skaters or nature lovers.
The first trail is 9.7 kilometers (6 miles), it begins in Marina Ixtapa and goes west around the perimeter of the Marina Ixtapa Golf Club, continues up the coast passing through Parque Aztlan, an ecological reserve that is home to crocodiles, iguanas and exotic birds, until reaching Playa Linda.
In the opposite direction, the other trail covers 3.8 kilometers (2.4 miles). It begins at Paseo de los Viveros (located behind the Palma Real Golf Course), it passes through a tropical forest, with majestic ceiba trees and parotas up to 35 meters high. It is an ideal path for those who like to watch birds; the route continues flanking the highway between Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo and ends at the Instituto Tecnológico de la Costa Grande located just before the entrance to Zihuatanejo
For more professional cyclists, in Ximalcota, a small nearby town, there is an opportunity to practice mountain biking.
