Visibility in the coastal waters of Mazatlán ranges from 15 to 24 m (50 to 80 ft.) and there is an abundance of marine life and reefs.

TOP SPOTS FOR DIVING IN MAZATLÁN :

Isla de Los Chivos (Goats Island)

Perhaps the best place is the waters of Isla de Los Chivos. This island is protected by two large reefs that create a huge natural pool of crystal clear waters with a wide variety of multicolored fish. It is an ideal site for beginners.

North Beach

It is also a good option, although it is a place for more experienced divers. This is a place with a great variety of marine life and some old shipwrecks.

Other places

Some other good places for diving are the coasts of the Pájaros and Venados islands, for their calm and crystalline waters, as well as Isla de la Piedra, El Faro (the lighthouse) and Las Piedras Blancas.

In all the dives you can see puffer fish, octopus, moray eels, crabs, starfish, grouper, barracuda, snapper and rays.
