The Aqueduct is the symbol of the city of Querétaro.

The monumental work was built between 1726 and 1738 and brought water to the city from La Cañada.

The aqueduct is divided into three parts: the initial canal, which goes from what is now known as El Socavón at La Cañada spring to the arches.

The arcade has a length of 1,300 meters and consists of 74 arches with a maximum height of 28.42 meters, supported by pillars made of pink quarry stone and masonry.

The final canal runs from the arcade and runs along a wall to the Convento de la Cruz. This part is mostly hidden by the walls of the houses it passes through. Inside the convent, you can see a small arch and the storage cisterns.
